Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of My 1st Coach Teams — the website at teams.my1stcoach.org and the iPhone and Android apps (together, "the service"), run by My 1st Coach ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use the service

The service is for adults: coaches, team managers, league administrators, and parents or guardians. You must be at least 18 to create an account. Players who are minors are added to a team by a parent, guardian or coach, who is responsible for the information entered about them. Children should not create accounts.

Accounts and invitations

Teams are invitation-only: you join with a code or link from a coach or administrator. Keep your password to yourself and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your details accurate.

Teams and what you post

Coaches and managers run their teams: rosters, schedules, announcements and invitations. You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people on your team so the service can work. Only post information you have the right to share, and only what your team needs.

Please don't use the service to:

• harass, threaten or embarrass anyone, or post anything unlawful or hateful;
• share other people's personal information beyond what the team needs;
• send spam, or try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
• interfere with the service or use it in a way that breaks the law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Team fees and payments

Teams run by My 1st Coach may collect fees — dues, registration, uniforms or tournament costs — through the service. When they do:

• The team's coach sets the fee, and My 1st Coach collects it for the team. Coaches can waive or reduce a fee for a player; the amount you're asked to pay is shown before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details go to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
• Refunds are decided by the team's coach. See our Refund Policy.
• There's no added service or card fee; you pay the amount shown.

Activities are run by teams

The service helps teams organize; it doesn't run practices, games or events. Teams, leagues and their organizers are responsible for their activities, including supervision, safety, venues and any waivers they require.

Notifications and email

We send messages the service needs — invitations, password resets, schedule changes, RSVP reminders and announcements. You can turn push notifications off in the app or in your phone's settings.

Other services

The service relies on other providers (for example hosting, email, push notifications, crash reporting and payments). Optional features, like Google Calendar sync, are also covered by those services' own terms.

Changes and availability

We keep improving the service and may change or remove features. We aim to keep it available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app or on the website. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Content you added to a shared team, such as events or announcements, may stay for that team without your name attached.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties about it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from team activities or from dealings between you and your team. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the service or by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
